At home.
My TV is pretty good, my wife and I can lay down and relax in our bathrobes, and I don't have to talk to anyone (except her and my dog)
I live in a large USA metro, and was patted down by a police offcier (I like cops, the guy was just doing his job) when I went to see "Joker" close to its release. Everyone else was, but still...felt more like getting on a plane...starting to cost about the same too.
That said, a movie that deserves the big screen experience always gets it from me. Usually around 11am on a weekday, $10 50-oz Mr. Pibb, and Reese's Pieces. 'They' used to think VCRs would kill the movie theaters. The right movie can still make it totally worth the expense. Plus, I got my 'movie friends' and I'd rather go somewhere other than my house (maybe close to a bar) to see a visual spectacle like "Gravity" that will not live up to the hype on my home setup.
Mostly streaming from Amazon Prime, but I prefer a disc if possible.
