You have to take anthropology with a grain of salt. They find a tooth and jaw fragment and it's a new species and new origin story. That's part of the reason the theories change so often. And to this day they occasionally announce some new theory that is really just an old theory with more supporting evidence. I don't know how many times I've read that humans have been in the Americas much longer than we thought and yet it's the same thing we knew in 92 when I took Anthro 101.
