I like it, too. However, the absence of John McTiernan is felt. It remains my least favorite of the original trilogy. Also hilarious when McClane shows him the gun has blanks by firing directly at him. McClane, surrounded by a dozen cops, isn't immediately gunned down. Thankfully everyone waited to see he wasn't firing real bullets.
