How long before JJ apologizes to Kelly Marie Tran

I think Rian Johnson owes her an apology for the way he wrote and used her character in Part 8. Unless there's actually a purpose to her presence in the film (which there was not in part 8) then JJ wouldn't have been doing her any favours by giving her a bigger part in this one.
