It was Sony-Tri-Star wasn't it? They weren't as anal as the other companies. I bet Universal, etc wouldn't have greenlit it. Dina Meyer was such a victim in this movie--I think it was part of the warped satire so people would be thinking WTF? What a face, and yet never given much good parts and who was the dummy who decided to cover her in makeup and a wig for that Star Trek movie? The stupidest decision since doing the blue reptile thing to Rebecca Romijn in the X-men films (but in that case the reason wasn't a surprise-the director is gay). Starship Troopers was bumped out of its summer slot by Spielberg's Men in Black. This must be dumbest thing I've read all day.
