Well, after a week’s break (in which we were treated to the rather pointless “special” episode of
Vikings titled ‘The Saga of Floki’ - which basically just boiled down to a clip show, and clearly was aired here just to fill in time until we got a new episode) we finally got episode 4 here titled ‘All the Prisoners’.
**spoilers below**
Thoughts on the episode...
My main question this episode: what the heck was going on with Lagertha’s hair in her first scene this episode?

Usually she has pretty rad hair (yes, even when she went grey), but that^…was a little
too bizarre, I thought. Katheryn Winnick’s accent also seemed to be wavering a bit in that first scene. Thankfully, things got back to normal with her in her following scenes.
Shut up, Ivar and Ivar’s new ‘friend’ (who Ivar’s already planning on overthrowing according to what he told ol’ Chainface).
Ubbe tried to help Hvitserk by giving him some responsibility, but he’s too messed up and now he’s gotten his arse banished for letting Ubbe down.
Would someone please put Hvitserk out of his misery? This verging into Druggie Ragnar territory (though still, miraculously, not as annoying as that storyline was…yet). I’m at least somewhat interested in the woman who’s obviously invested in what happens to him (haven’t learned her name, though).
Shut up, Kjetill. The sooner you pay for what you did in Flokiland, the better (I miss Adam Copeland as Dwight in
Haven - he was far more likeable there).
Don’t care about Harald.
Shut up, Olaf. You’re like a cartoon character.
Things FINALLY got a bit more interesting towards the end when the bandits attacked Lagertha’s village, having no problem offing kids left and right (including one of Bjorn and Torvi’s kids…I think). See, there are some shows that don’t chicken out and actually
show the reality of merciless types like the guys who did this.
Katheryn Winnick sold the hell out of her trying to comfort the dying kid. I really hope she unleashes hell on the child murderers.
Gunnhild is having visions now? Interesting.
