The first one is probably the best one to try on if you aren't really a strong fan of horror and gore. The first one is fairly tame. The sequels get very messy....and i personally don't really love the series all that much until it gets to like the 5th one. That's funny because I started to get bored after Saw IV. The puzzle just gets needlessly convoluted and repetitive. The original is worth watching and that is the only one that is worth watching imo.
