Well, if it does actually happen, then maybe they can follow the book more. In the novel, Hooper has an affair with Mrs Brody, Quint is a lot more dour and mean than Robert Shaw portrayed him, and another major character becomes shark food.

Have the remake follow that path, perhaps?
