What are some good scary B&W movies? ('50s & '60s)

 Ok, because I remember my mom watching this on TV when I was little and seeing the skeleton scene and my mom reassuring me that it was only a movie and not real. I guess she could tell by the look on my face that I was scared. Then I vaguely remember seeing something years later that I believe was this same movie.
