If you happen to watch this particular scene, try to imagine the difficulty of having to actually shoot it, and cut it all together in a semi-coherent way, if you had been the director in charge of it........Robert Altman (and his editor) do a GREAT job of making all these different angles and edits fit together perfectly, resulting in a scene that effortlessly just seems to "flow".......something that, in the hands of a lesser director, probably would have been just a BIT more messy......just one of those subtle things that we as movie watchers rarely tend to notice when done right, but almost ALWAYS notice when done poorly!
