I feel like NHL coaches are fired relatively frequently mid season. I don't have stats to back it up but it seems like it happens more often than other sports. Dunno why they felt the need to change, especially when theyre still in that 'gaining a foothold' stage as a franchise and have made the playoffs the past few years. But i haven't followed their organization much outside that first season. It does seem like NHL teams push the panic button quicker than you see in other sports. I don't claim to be an expert on the Golden Knights, but I agree that you would think with a new organization, you would want stability for awhile, especially when you consider how much success they have already had with this head coach.
