He can act. Watch him in Pain & Gain.
He has a brand and his social media person probably tells him to promote it. What's wrong with his choices? "Pain & Gain" was incredibly entertaining. Dwayne Johnson is hilarious in this, and his character is the movie's highlight. Coincidentally, he reminds me a bit of Mark Wahlberg with his prolific career, some good, some duds. Like Wahlberg, I find Johnson to be quite a good actor (he's got that Arnold charm and excellent comedic timing) in some movies. Neither of the two seem to take themselves too seriously, while seem genuine in trying to put in good performances. Keep 'em coming, both of ya.
