I hope you have fun. I don't love the big time parks. I really like D-BAP (Durham Bulls Park); you can see what's going on and everyone does the seventh inning stretch together. I hear you, I don't mind the big parks, I practically grew up in the upper deck of Shea Stadium. Never been to a Durham Bulls game, sadly. Having gone to spring training before, and when I lived in New Orleans, I went to a ton of zephyrs games, it was definitely a more fun and picnic-y atmosphere. The MLB games are definitely more intense (and, quite frankly, better games in my humble opinion), but there is something to be said for the national past-time vibe that goes on in the smaller parks. It's definitely a more intimate setting. Good news for you about Truist(from Wiki): I went to Shea! Last time was 2006. I went with work friends in the block of seats my company had between 3rd and home, pretty close to the field. The weather was great but the games were super slow, so my friend Colleen and I just hung out while our work guys took turns buying all of us rounds of beers, and also hot dogs and nachos. Mostly everybody was on their phones except for Colleen and I who were making each other laugh about nothing (like players' butts). I have no idea who won, or even who played the Mets, but we didn't have to pay for anything and then we went out afterward. I used to see David Wright at Dorrian's in 2004. Derek Jeter was always downtown at TenJune. I can't believe they both survived those years; they always seemed too sweaty and sleep-deprived. Must be an MLB thing.
