I work in sales, so I talk to lots of different people over the course of a day. Yesterday, I was dealing with two older guys who were obviously a couple. We got to talking about movies, and they brought up how much they loved Cats.
I started laughing and saying that I've heard it's so bad that it's worth checking out, kind of like Showgirls from back in the day. But both of these guys insisted that the movie was actually really good, and a total blast to watch. They said that the play itself was initially laughed at, but then gained respect as more folks saw it, and they said that will eventually happen with the movie.
I'm still pretty skeptical about the whole thing, but these guys were insistent that it is a great film.
