It's at the point now where I'm satisfied with streaming, the audio quality is pretty much where it needs to be and will only get better, and there's very little obscure music that isn't available somewhere. I stumble upon stuff on Apple Music that I spent years searching for on CD. I do still buy CDs and records though. When artists come around that really click with me I just want to own their stuff-- like for instance in early 2017 I saw Father John Misty perform on SNL and I was kind of mesmerized by his stage presence, and it was amazing to be able to get on Apple Music and listen to his three released albums right then and there, and within a month I had bought all his albums on both CD and vinyl, one I even bought on cassette, and I saw him live twice within the next year. It was the same with this noise rock band called Whores. I just stumbled upon a youtube video of their complete set at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, a few minutes later I'm devouring their music on streaming, a month later I have their album and two EP's on CD and vinyl.
