I'm in the middle of watching "Larceny" (1948) when John Payne comes up with this line to Shelly Winters. I just had to share:
"You stupid little twist. Here I am beating my brains out with a bunch of corny people trying to make enough money to break with Silky and you keep gumming up the works."
