To be fair only Adelaide and Auckland come close to filling their stadiums, which are only 2500 seaters anyway, but yes baseball's happening. 8 teams play 40 games each over 10 weeks then 3 game series for the semi finals and final.
Bathurst 12 hour is, I think, a lot of fun. Plenty of twists and turns over a long race and the GTEs tend to take a lot more risks on the bendy bits than the V8s because it's just one race: win or go home, so you're not worried about wear and tear for the next race or preserving your race position for points as there aren't any.
And yes, the BBL finals games have been a showcase of shit chasing. Hobart were not likely to chase 198 to be fair, but still managed to embarass themselves with just how far they fell short. Stars were pathetic chasing an inadequate total though, as you said, they were up against a pretty useful attack. Strikers were very disappointing. Even with two overs left looked like they'd walk it in. The game was calling for 1s and 2s and eicket retention but they started to throw away wickets looking for glory shots.
