Night of the Living Dead (1990)

Haven't seen this one since the good old days of VHS, so I thought I'd check it out again. Still feel pretty much the same way about it; no match for the 1968 classic, but director Tom Savini does provide some terrific moments of inspired horror (like that severed hand bit, an especially nice touch) and it was cool having the female characters stronger and tougher, as opposed to just being typical screaming damsels in distress. However, as they say, it's difficult to improve upon greatness. Still not bad at all, though.
