No I'm a bit confused. Are Purgatory and Limbo different places? You are being too literal. Nobody knows exactly what happens after one dies. Religion is faith based. Not fact based. People believe in religion based on faith. Not knowledge or facts. Whatever stories religions tell to teach faith need not be exact. Just conceptual. The Catholic Church is quite explicit about Purgatory and Limbo, Heaven and Hell.
