The most horrifying thing he told me. You know how when you smell an overpowering odor, like someone who overdoes perfume, that you can actually know what the perfume would taste like? He could truly believe that he knew what rotting human flesh tasted like. The stench was so overpowering. And the residents of the outlying towns said that they didn't know what was going on there. That's why Patton marched them through the place. There wasn' mcu war left but, for the last few days, they didn't take SS men prisoner.
