Really appreciate your comments, Wm, especially about the magical scene that you quoted. It's a wonder - all in one shot, too. I love this film! It does require a willing suspension of disbelief in terms of its plot "twist," but Stanwyck and Fonda are such a joy to watch together that it really doesn't matter. I think everyone should see it. Thanks for the intro for those who don't already know it.
