All part of the satanic cult hysteria of the 80s. People jailed in the 80s for Satan worship were only recently released from prison. All the vile and idiotic things humanity did in the past that everyone believes we have evolved beyond, we are still those people and they were just like us. Scare people enough and they will do anything no matter how terrible just to feel safe.
