Irrelevant viewpoint. Best Picture is for Best Picture. That would include foreign, American, English, animated, and even documentary. Best in whose eyes anyway? I guess now, Amercan produced films need to up their act, if they can't make films as well, or as deserving as a foreign language film, that only film snobs will care about. All movies need to up their act, there's a lot of mediocre and bad ones out there and some of them are even nominated, but one picture out of 9 hardly constitutes a foreign film uprising. A foreign film has been nominated 9 previous times, I wonder if people are just thinking they were just honorary nominations?
