Back to the rinse cycle. They threw the bone to Parasite due to hype. They do not, nor do they need nominate foreign language films in any category other than foreign language. They do so because of political agenda grandstanding. So in 1939, the academy was forced to choose a French film as a nominee for best picture due to 'Political Grandstanding'? He he he that's brilliant. let me guess, it was because the 2nd world war had just started and the Americans wanted to be nice to France? If that is not the reason, come up with a better one.
