So many questions. I'll start with these: 1) How am I biased? My No.1 film of the year was an American movie. 2) Who am I being disloyal to? You are often deriding American productions. Was your favourite American film one of the nominees? Supporting the Academy’s disloyalty to its own industry. I often deride films if they are not very good. Doesn't matter where they come from. My favourite film this year was The Lighthouse - an American film that was nominated for an Oscar. As for disloyalty - I'm sure the Academy are going to be fine no matter what my opinions are.
