So because something looks good to you, it is supposed to look good to others? What self-serving, entitled vacuum are you living in? What French films are you talking about that look good? To whom do they look good? How does one gauge good? I certainly won’t be relying on your taste for what is “good”, and I would say the majority of film-goers won’t either. No, you've failed to grasp the point again I'm intrigued to know why you would never put a French film atop of your watchlist. Do you have a hierarchical ranking of countries that you do this to? What about Icelandic films or Colombia films? Would films from those countries ever feature high up your watchlist? If not, why not? Are they more or less likely to feature above French films on your watchlist? Why? Are all French films not on your watchlist because you don't like their accent? If not, why not? Soooo many questions. I am genuinely fascinated by your mindset. You haven’t made a point that resonates with me, only your condescension does, apart from your own favouritism for foreign language films. Why would I want to watch a foreign language film, that doesn’t appeal to me, regardless of where it is from. They rarely do, so get off your high horse.
