I'm surprised this went through.
I wonder if some teams will be less apt to pinch hit for their pitcher in like the 6th inning or so if they have a weak bullpen. This can really change the tide of some games if you don't have a strong pen/middle relief that gets lit up on a consistent basis.

Let's say a middle reliever comes in with the bases juiced and gives up a grand slam and you'd prefer to yank him and go to another pitcher but can't - he then faces hitter #2 and walks him - then hitter #3 and gives up another homer - that's 6 runs all because you had to stick with the bum.
