I actually like Last Jedi, but that one seems to have more fans than ROS. I thought it was OK when I first saw it but I started to hate it when I thought about it more. I hated that they turned Luke into a grumpy loser that tried to murder his nephew. I never minded that, because there was a long gap between Return of the Jedi and this movie which could indicate that he’s been through a lot. You could say that it was out of character for him since he didn’t try to murder his father, but again, a lot happened that caused him to change so drastically. It might not have been the best way to go, but at least I understood it. It’s also less derivative as Rise of Skywalker, or even Force Awakens. |
