A. E. Hotchner, screenwriter, novelist, and playwright, passed away on February 15 at the age of 102.  He perhaps best known for his friendships, including with Ernest Hemingway, about whom he wrote a memoir, "Papa Hemingway," and with his Connecticut neighbor, Paul Newman, with whom he founded Newman's Own, which dedicates all profits to charity.
