Catman liked the book better, but it still was a nice film. Probably will watch it again if the opportunity comes up. I'm sure the book would do Mowats tale\tail more justice, but as a film, it pretty much hit all the right notes for a cinematic presentation, (especially for a pg rated Disney: mice eating, nudity, peeing, tension) of a man caught up in the wild and then finding his soul in the wild. I find it a staggering achievement at every level. Selling it up here, because only recently had I an opportunity to watch it on a decent dvd presentation. The few other times was on fuzzy vhs many many moons ago.
