“Simon Templar? Aren’t you…?” THE SAINT

Best Saint episodes I’ve seen so far:

“Sibao” (great stuff: Haiti, voodoo, zombies, curses. Almost a dry run for, and better than, Live and Let Die. Quick pace)

“The Old Treasure Story” (how can anyone resist a story about Blackbeard’s treasure? Simon as proto-Indiana Jones, also fast pace)

“The Convenient Monster” (Simon vs. the Loch Ness Monster!)

“The Spanish Cow” (unexpectedly involving jewel-robbery story with good pace and twist)

“The Arrow of God” (Chesterton pastiche, Simon as Golden Age sleuth)

“The Saint Plays with Fire” (halfway between mystery and spy thriller: Simon vs. neo-Nazis who have murdered crusading journalist. Nazi leader’s identity not too surprising, but better is how Simon convinces pompous, naïve heiress that what she’s doing is wrong)

Episodes I have yet to see but am looking forward to: “The Careful Terrorist,” “The Pearls of Peace,” “The Wonderful War,” “The Golden Frog,” “Island of Chance,” “A Double in Diamonds,” “The House of Dragon’s Rock.”

Recommendations more than welcome.
