American screenwriter, mainly for television, Ellen M. Violett, has left us at the age of 94, on February 13th.
She was Emmy nominated for CBS Playhouse episode The Experiment 1969 and for Go Ask Alice TV movie 1973.
She adapted Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeths (starring Helen Hayes and Mary Martin) for Producer's Showcase episode 1955, and Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca (starring James Mason, Joan Hackett and Nina Foch) for NBC's Theatre '62 1962.
