ill never get why Chen and O'Toole didn't get nommed for Emperor. I like all the nominated supporting actor performances better than Peter O' Toole in The Last Emperer. He isn't even one of the 20 best supporting actor performances of 1987 imo. For me what's puzzling is if ever a time to reward him where possible that was the moment with how big a juggernaut that movie was.
