D'onofrio is an interesting case as an actor, has credibility but perhaps a bit difficult at times to work with as well?. I haven't heard he is difficult to work with, but maybe he is. Check out The Whole Wide World (1996) and The Salton Sea if you haven't seen them. In the former he plays the writer of Conan the Barbarian and in the latter he plays a coke dealer that used so much of his own supply that he is missing his nose in the creepiest performance of his career. Don't forget Household Saints and Imaginary Crimes.
