Given Wilder came from a family of Alabama preachers, would you have expected anything differently if he had won? In any case, I was rooting for Wilder because it's been a long time since the US has had a dominant, heavyweight knockout-artist; but Fury has looked like the better boxer in both fights, with an understanding of how to nullify Wilder's strength advantage. This time he didn't get sloppy late and won decisively. Wilder comes from good stock and has formidable punching power. But like Anthony Joshua he is technically an atrocious boxer. None of the HWs today would last 3 rounds during the golden era of the division. Even the likes of Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe would easily clean up if they were fighting today.
