I liked all of those too James except for 'The Rise of Skywalker' which I am yet to see but would you say 'Jason Takes Manhattan' is still a disliked movie? I know it was when it first came out but I think it is one of those movies that has really gained a cult following over the years and I have met more people who say they like it than hate it. I think it was just disappointing in my opinion after finding out what the movie was supposed to be like but I still enjoy re-watching it and loved this song by Peter Fredette and Stan Meissner. It is not that bad and I find it better than Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, which I do not really like at all. They all have their own charm, except 9, which I thought had none at all. I love Jason X, despite all the naysayers. It was a novel approach to place him into the future in outer space. I don't want to see the same movie, like they did 7 times with camp settings.
The only issue I have with the Friday's after 5, was the lack of gore and quick cutaway kills. They brought it back onto track with Jason X and then the terrific Freddy vs Jason. Part 2 would have been even better, if they hadn't sanitized it down as it has a great atmosphere and interesting characters. The MPAA were the biggest butchers, not Jason.

I agree. To me 'Jason Goes to Hell' was the worst in the entire franchise and I am a big fan of having Jason as a Ghoul/ Zombie like creature 'cause I feel it really separated him from Michael Myers and made him more entertaining and scary. The way he looked in 7 when he took the mask off was horrifying
and was way scarier than just some guy with a deformed face but I think they went way too far in 'Jason Goes to Hell' with the changes to his characters making it that he was some demon worm that could take over people's bodies and I don't know why they changed him so much but it just didn't feel right. I would have preferred another movie like the three before it with Jason killing people like he usually does or they could have brought Tommy or Tina back. Kane Hodder has said in some of his recent interviews he wants to write the next 'Friday' movie when the court case is over and bring back characters like Tommy and Tina 'cause out of all the things fans ask him about the most with 'Friday the 13th' it is if those other characters are ever going to return and I think Tommy, Tina and others should come back for a movie. Tommy especially since he beat Jason twice and Jason would have to want to get revenge on him for burying him at the bottom of the sea and if they brought Tina back she could be more in control of her powers now and we could see a big face off between the two again and I liked seeing Jason face somebody with powers. The lack of gore in the latter movies was kinda disappointing and I didn't know how much had been cut out of them until later and I am still surprised they haven't re-released them now uncut. There is a large following for franchises like Nightmare, Friday and Halloween and I think a lot of fans would buy them with all the unreleased scenes. I didn't mind 'Jason X' either and OMG, Lexa Doig was so sexy in that movie
and it is a shame she didn't get more leading roles 'cause I liked her in some of the other things she was in like 'Continuum' and 'Arrow.'
