They probably don't....it's the cut the studio provide This isn't a one off. The distinction Amazon themselves didn't edit the film is meaningless because they make the decision on what is censored. They do it because some countries won't allow them to stream if the edits aren't made and I guess Amazon doesn't want to stream multiple versions. I'm not sure if that is entirely correct. I think Amazon do stream multiple versions because they are rated differently in different countries. I cannot stream from Amazon USA in the UK for instance. It would also seem a bit strange to do this if in the US they offer on their streaming service both the cut US version (the one the OP is talking about) and the extended unrated international version! The 1 minute cut (if there actualy is one) did not reduce the rating below the original R it was granted.
