I'm not really arguing, just pointing out that the idea that Amazon cuts a film so it can be shown cross border as it were makes no sense, in this case. Ratings in different countries are not the same. The regular cut of the film is 15 in UK for instance in the US R. The uncut/international version is 15 in the UK, un-rated in the US.

And from a sales aspect why edit a film if the rating remains the same?

Plus there is a difference in film lengths depending on the frame rate which varies between theatrical release, NTSC and PAL playback. I have no idea if there is, but there may also be a discrepancy in streaming frame rates as well!

I'm not trying to be an advocate for Amazon but rather Devil's Advocate. We don't exactly know what if any scene the OP says is removed, or what versions he has see previously that he is comparing it to.

I should explain, I always check the run time of a film before I buy it on Amazon. When I saw it said 109 minutes on Amazon, I checked the recent reviews and my suspicions were correct. Another person who purchased the digital version said they cut a minute out. I didn't purchase it myself, just noticed the discrepancy and confirmed it through another person's review.
