When I was the age of these fanboy (presumably 10 to 13), I went to see a special, groundbreaking, science-fiction masterpiece called Terminator 2: Judgment Day with my mom and my uncle. It was the first truly great and memorable movie-going experience of my life. That movie was and is worth that much love and respect. Hell, Avatar was another one. This Guardians of the Galaxy sh!t?? Not so much. Avatar sucked. I loved the bit on Late Show where when asked if he knew it was the last day before the world ended, what would he do, Colbert said watch Avatar because that movie felt like forever. T2? Pfffft. My folks stopped paying to take us to movies when I was 7 or 8. I earned my own money. Paid my own way. Saw Young Frankenstein when I was 14. Star Wars when I was 17. I still pay my own way. Took my daughter to this one Friday.
