Marvel needed special effects to catch up to their heroes. Hollywood's been faking Batman & Superman effects pretty much since the characters were created.

Once effects caught up to them, Marvel has excelled. Some can't accept that

To me, there's a western feel to Marvel movies. Our heroes save the day & ride off into the sunset.
