I believe the Mongols at the time of Ghengis Khan were tribal herders and probably had an oral mythical belief . The northern chinese kingdom during Genghis Khan's time was oppressing the Mongols , and he raised a Mongol rebellion against them , eventually defeating them . Then continued expanding his influence across Asia and Russia . It was his descendants and Empire after him , that unified China . Apparently Marco Polo worked closely with the Mongol Empire for many years .
The story of Buddha is certainly an intriguing and amazing journey of religion . I'm also interested in the Tao , and Confucius too .
