You kinda need the first Thor film as well if you really want to understand Loki's stake in all this. I was thinking about that, but I'm not sure his motivation is necessarily critical. Imagine only watching Avengers you just know that Loki wants to invade Earth and Thor shows up to stop him. Does having seen Thor change that? You end up getting Loki's motivation in TDW when he's sentenced by Odin, and that's included on the list largely on the strength of the infinity stone. |
