I watched the first movie like two weeks before the 13th. I didn't know it was going to be the 13th this month otherwise maybe I would've saved that watch, lol.
However, I do remember watching an episode of the TV series, "American Horror Story: 1984" - binge watching some episodes. This season is the latest season to date, season 9. The whole season basically follows a couple slashers and killers which takes place mostly at a reopened camp. The thing is, the show did a homage episode to Jason Voorhees by coming up with a character who died exactly the same way on the camp counselors watches. You even get a great homage to the character Mrs. Voorhees. I watched this the day before Friday the 13th. I just thought it was worth a mention as it's a direct connection to the classic slasher character, Jason.
