My favorite thing about the Yankees ever was White and Rizzuto calling games. 85% of their banter had 0% to do with the game. Rizzuto’s score card had the notation “WW” all over it WW = wasn’t watching actually that's classically trained tv sports announcing that trust the viewer isn't blind that was guided by the idea: if the camera can see it, there's no need to say it. and agree, they were great!
