Did he though? The defense got lit up by the Chargers and the Chiefs in the playoffs that season, both games were high scoring affairs. They only won the AFC championship because they won the coin toss going into OT. Always makes me laugh, as if 14-0 lead at halftime in Arrowhead was an asterisk. *Shrugs* You don't win games in the first half. I don't know in what universe giving up 24 points in the 4th qtr could be considered a good defensive performance. Anyway they won, and now we get to find out how good Belichick is. All we can do is hope for the best.
