That's another little thing I watch for in movies. Fake winter. You can tell if it's really in winter because you can see the actor's breath. Might be nitpicking, but, when you live ina place with a lot of winter, you notice these things more

Though filmed mostly on a sound stage, I really got the feel of winter in Battleground. The breathe steam is missing, but an excess of it would be distracting to watch.

Battleground was a very accurate movie, if I remember. That was the days when Hollywood could push out historical horrorshows like Santa Fe Trail
