The fact that re-infection occurs could mean no vaccine is possible.

It could continue to hit humans until and if it hits a genetic mutation able to tolerate it. Everyone else would eventually succumb.

Or that it is like the flu.

Getting a vaccine that is only even 25% effective would be so huge right now.
