I watched the Pine Tar game live. I really thought Brett would hurt someone. The days of WPIX, Bill White, Frank Messer and the Scooter. Whole innings filled with tales of Phil Rizzuto and the traffic on the Jersey Turnpike. Bill White interviewing Al Kaline during a rain delay and White wondering why Al hadn’t been elected to the Hall of Fame. Of course he had already. Kaline was cool. “Well, I hope to get in next year “ Mike Timlin's chew was pretty severe too.
