It's interesting to look at the differences in cases per 100,000 in the US by state. States that border one another can have wildly different infection rates.
Kentucky has 11 cases per 100,000 people. Tennessee has 27.
Pennsylvania has 38 cases per 100,000. West Virginia has 8.
Michigan has 65 cases per 100,000. Minnesota has 11.
