Cabin Fever (2002)
Eli Roth's original virus paranoia horrorfest! Not only does it address viruses, the title alone is perfect for how we are all feeling by now. For some unknown reason, it was remade in 2016, only fourteen years later. Seemed unnecessary, but it was watchable. There are two sequels to the original, but the first is still the best.
I never really cared for this movie, but if you see the recent remake that used the exact same script it will give you an appreciation for Eli Roth even if you didn't have one to begin with. I don't especially love his stuff, but that other one is so clearly amateurish and misses the tone completely.
I don't think either movie is especially good, but it's an interesting experiment so I was kinda glad I saw them.
Also, the sequels are kinda dumb but not a complete waste of time.
I'm trying to see if I can watch the Mick Garris directed The Stand miniseries anywhere.
